Are you thinking of setting up your own website? The following series of articles are intended to give 'user friendly' non technical advice to novice creators of websites and blogs.

As we approach the end of January and anticipate the prospect of more days indoors away from the rain or whatever else the winter weather will bring, perhaps you are considering taking on a new project. If you have decided that now is your time to create a website or blog, or maybe give your old one a facelift, then Autumn Chickens will be running a series of articles to give a you helping hand. We promise there will be no excessive technical jargon. Each of our articles will be written by myself, your website editor, Claire Baldry. I describe myself as a self -taught enthusiastic amateur, so am more than happy to share my mistakes as well as my successes. But before I start here are a few words about using 'Word Press' from writer Anne Stormont. I have never found Word Press easy to use, but most people seem to love it, so I asked Anne to write this bit for me.
